Siya Beyile_P3My Definition Of Success | Success to me means waking up every day and doing something you love with the support of family and friends. When you do something you love your focus is not money the money becomes the byproduct of loving what you do. My perception over the years has changed because initially I thought success was measured by money and reputations.

I Am Driven By | My Faith and Family

My Highlights | Getting into and matriculating from Wynberg Boys High School has been the proudest moment of my life, through that school I learned valuable lessons and made lifelong friends. I was challenged in every sense from academics to sport, they taught me that if I put my mind into anything I can accomplish it if I am willing to put in the work.
My proudest career moment has to becoming a CEO of my own company at this age; I never thought starting The Threaded Man would turn me into a 20 year old CEO.

The Difference Between Good And Great | Those that are good stop practicing at a certain point as they feel that they are good, so they become complacent. Those that are great constantly challenge themselves and they see no limits or boundaries in their way.

A Key Talent | 3 things have been key for me: Perseverance. Faith. Discipline

Perseverance: To have this is important because life will throw so many objects at you whether be financial troubles or not getting opportunities to do what you love. It’s important that you keep going until those doors open or create your own door
People will try and put you down, tell you that it can’t be done.  Believe in yourself even when others don’t

Faith: Faith is your guiding light, faith is believing in what you can’t see but envision. Faith will guide you even when times are dark.

Discipline: This is important because it keeps you on course. I wake up every day at 4.30 am because I know if I start my day early things will go as planned. The discipline of putting your dream as a priority and doing everything possible to make sure you are equipped to make it happen.

Lessons I Have Learnt | I have learned that life is to be lived. In living you will experience loss that loss will serve as a reminder to always appreciate who or what you have. People will do bad things to you but don’t cultivate anger as it will ruin you and remember humans are flawed just like you. Take long walks on the beach, listen to good music and love deeply because in the end we only have 1 life.

Dealing With Doubt | I was interning for Dion Chang at Flux Trends and a month later I wanted to leave because my faith told me that I needed to put more time into my brand. People at Flux were not happy and people in the industry felt I was making a huge mistake and that I wouldn’t be able to sustain myself. At that time I turned to God and my family, they reminded me why I do this. I knew that with faith by my side nothing can stop me. Now 3 months later I have my own offices and a brand that is becoming sustainable

Siya Beyile_P1Performing At My Peak | As a Trend Analyst it’s important that I am always in the know, so I am always reading and researching. I do this on a daily. Also I feel that good eating and gym keep your mind in peak form.

Resources I Use To Stay Inspired | Immersing myself in culture that includes music, movies, people and books. Immersing yourself means always trying to find what will inspire you, always seeking to meet new people.

The Best Advice I’ve Received | Charity begins at home.

Advice On Building Wealth | Seek what makes you happy and wealth shall find you.

I Am Inspired By | My mother inspires me so much! She came from a poverty background but was able to use education as a tool to build a better life for herself. Today she is a doctor and an education specialist. Kanye West and Pharrell Williams are my role models because of how much time they spend on their craft and understanding the greater context of what they are doing
