Today I had the wonderful privilege of spending an hour chatting in my podcast studio to the incredible and inspiring Brian Bergman.
This is a man who qualified as a vet, then followed it up with a year in an ashram in India studying yoga and who has now been going to Pollsmoor high-security penitentiary, to give yoga, mindfulness and meditation lessons to the most hardened of inmates every week for the last 10 years. As founder of non-profit SevaUnite Prison Freedom Project, Brian opens up in detail about his life-journey, his passion for service and the value and potential of yoga as a rehabilitation tool and conscious dance as a way to heal ourselves.
