My Definition Of Success | Success is about setting goal and reaching those goals, they could be personal or professional goals. Success is personal and should never be driven by other people’s measures of success but your own and that is how the definition of success has changed for the over the year, just understanding that my definition and measure of success won’t be the same as that of the next person.

DJ Zinhle_P2I Am Driven By | My goals are my main driver, I love progressing and ticking the boxes. I am also very lucky to have inspirational and hard-working people around me.

My Highlights | There are so many things I can think of. Making a name for myself as a DJ is my proudest and ongoing achievement, Fuse Academy is another proud moment and ERABYDJZINHLE. These achievements also did a lot for me in my personal growth as they taught me that I can do anything I put my mind and energies into.

The Difference Between good And Great | I read a book recently and it taught me a valuable lesson that leaders will always push themselves to do the hard things that a normal person won’t do. That extra effort is really the difference between ordinary and extraordinary.

A Key Talent |

  • a) To have knowledge is to have power so education is very important, reading is part of educating yourself, so read as much as you can and educate yourself about the field you are interested in.
  • b) Set goals, goals are what is going to guide your efforts, this is a very important step that nobody should take for granted.
  • c) Work hard
  • d) Believe that you can.
  • e) Do not give up, ever!

The Characteristics Of Success | Discipline, decisiveness, planning and self-belief.

Principles I Live By | Respect! You must respect yourself, the people around you and the industry you are in.

Critical Skills I Develop | My Marketing Degree has come in handy. Branding and marketing are a very critical part of what I do.

DJ Zinhle_P1How I Use My Mind | Reading books helps me a lot with this process. There are a lot of times when I don’t feel like getting up or when I don’t feel like giving it my all but I have had to train my mind not to accept anything but the best. It might sound weird but I am a big dreamer and I imagine things a lot. I believe that once I have seen it in my head, it will happen exactly as I dreamt it, yes it has worked.

Lessons I Have Learnt | Family is number one, you can have all the success in the world but without love, you will not be happy.

Dealing With Doubt | When starting FUSE academy with my best friend Nomdeni, so many things were going wrong we were hardly making ends meet. We had moments were we felt like shutting down the doors and telling the students we are closing the school but what kept us going was each other and the vision we had, so when I have self-doubt I go back to that place and I remember that I was able to conquer and surely with God’s grace whatever I am faced with shall pass and I will rise again.

Performing At My Peak | This is why goals are so important. They are something I use to measure against.

Resources I Use To Stay Inspired | Perseverance is a very important part of success and no book taught me that better MR Madiba’s book, “Long Walk To Freedom’, his story encourages me to keep going. I also love a book by Robin Sharma called “A Leader Who Had No Title”, everyone needs to read this book, it amazing.
I love music and the one song that has always kept me going is a song by a local artist called Bantu Soul called “Even Though”.

My Future Dreams And Ambitions | FUSE academy has been running for over 5 years and I think it’s time we ventured into Music Production classes as we have only been offering DJ classes only. Then there is ERABYDJZINHLE which is my watch range that I started a year ago to inspire women through my love of accessories, I really want to see it grow into a household name inspiring more and more women across the country and beyond to become the heroines we are destined to be. And I am back in studio so if all goes well I might be releasing a single before the end of the year.

DJ Zinhle_P3The Meaning Of Life | We all deserve love, happiness and a great pair of shoes.

The Best Advice I’ve Received | Be true to yourself.

Advice On Building Wealth | Work harder that you ever thought was possible.

On Inspiring Others | It’s never easy but over the years I have become very detailed in paying attention to people’s personalities and their personal goals. Once I have identified that they have the same aspirations, visions and objectives as myself, I keep them close to me, trusting them with my vision. Showing appreciation to the people whom I work is very important.

I Am Inspired By | Life itself inspires me, the trials and tribulations I have overcome and the challenges I wake up to each morning keep me going. Kimora and Khanyi Dhlomo Mkhize are my roles models; I admire how they managed to transform themselves from being leaders in the entertainment/fashion industry into extraordinary businesswomen.

The Legacy You Would Like To Leave | I want women to know, though my story and journey, that they can be whoever they want to be.
