Anja Ringgren Lovén | Founder & Director Of DINNødhjælp

Anja Ringgren Lovén is the moving spirit behind DINNødhjæp. She decided to resign as a store manager in 2011 to travel to Africa, where she worked for three months as an observer and relief worker for DanChurchAid (Folkekirkens Nødhjælp). During her stay she experienced poverty and hunger so extreme that she in no way was able to forget it again. Because of that she decided that she will spend the rest of her life fighting poverty and hunger in Africa and thus help some of the poorest people in the world, to get a better life.

My Definition Of Success | Success is the result of hard work, dedication and determination. To me real success does not come easy. It demands a whole lot of sacrifices and struggles. Success to me personally comes when you have done something for someone who can never repay you.

I Am Driven By | To help others comes very naturally to me. So the drive in me comes naturally. I grew up with a mom who all her life worked at a nursing home, and she always told me that we need to help each other, to be useful in this life and to be compassionate. The drive I have now is also the children. When everything seems impossible I just look at the children and I keep going.

My Highlights | My son makes me proud and all the children I have saved from the street and given a home and hope for the future is something that makes me proud.

A Key Talent | It´s difficult to say what my talent is when I don´t see myself as someone with a talent. All I do comes naturally and is a big part of my character. My strength is my determination to reach the goals that I set out to accomplish. Once I have made a goal I will do anything to reach that goal, and I´m willing to make sacrifices to reach my goal. My best advices is that whatever you do in life keep your family close because the love of family is much more important than wealth and privilege. To me the love from my family is my biggest strength.
