SUCCESSness FestDON’T MISS OUT! BOOK TICKETS NOW
Welcome to the Festival where extraordinary high-performers and achievers come to re-fuel, to re-ignite, to re-charge and re-focus at half-time. Spend a day with hundreds of other high-performers and re-imagine “the best you” possible at this 1-day catalyst, especially designed to help those of us facing half-time, to come up with a winning plan for the 2nd-half.
In sport, ‘half-time’ has always provided the opportunity for players on the field to take a short break from the action, to reconnect as the team’s COACH offers up an honest review – the good, the bad and the ugly – of the first-half performance and then for the coach to provide the necessary changes, the necessary encouragement, vision, strategy and tactics needed to formulate and catalyse the team’s ‘winning’ plan for the second half.
And boy – have there been some epic half-time talks over the years!!
In this ‘game of life’, we too get a natural half-time. But it often comes as a shock to the system. No referee’s whistle for us. In fact, it’s more like a freaking earthquake that hits our life, usually somewhere around 40+ years of age. Physiologically, psychologically and even psychically change is thrown upon us like never before. All of a sudden those secure and solid plates upon which we’d built the first half of our lives start to shake, shudder and tremble. In its most extreme form, the half-time whistle comes in the form of death of a loved one, disease or disability to either our own body or mind, or that of a loved one, an instant end to one’s financial buoyancy or sometimes divorce. So much pain. So much anger. So much regret. So much fear. So much confusion. So much anxiety.
But even for those of us fortunate enough to not experience such a booming siren of half-time as above, we will, and do not, escape the universal call that firstly ends the first half – we feel our bodies change, we watch our parents age and face their own mortality, we see our kids become independent, we worry whether we have the financial means and enterprise to see out what could be another 45 years, we question the purpose and meaning behind our choice of careers, we have to deal with the dark secrets and demons that have been repressed – and then secondly, beckons us to change sides for the second half, hopefully with a new ‘game-plan’.
Many of us don’t have personal coaches, mentors or guides travelling the path with us. Nor do we seem to have an openly positive affirming culture around therapy in South Africa, and so it appears we all face our own half-time ‘alone’. We put on a brave face, continue projecting that first-half winning attitude, hoping for the best, whilst harbouring bucket-loads of regret, fear, doubt and confusion and no real game-plan to embrace the second half.
That’s why there’s SUCCESSness FEST. It’s the half-time festival where you get to come alongside hundreds of other like-minded men and women and be COACHED and MOTIVATED by 18 real-world coaches – inspirations, thought-leaders, game-changers, entrepreneurs & entertainers –to help you build your 2nd half game-plan. We’ve got Chris Bertish, Prof. Tim Noakes, Dr Eve, Nik Rabinowitz, Gary Kirsten, Allen Ambor – founder Spur, Stephan Ekbergh – founder Travelstart, DJ ReadyD, Claire Mawisa…..and so many more.
Over the course of the day, as they share their very own stories of transitioning through half-time, you’ll be exposed to big life-transforming ideas from some of the most forward-thinking minds in our land as they delve into entrepreneurship, health, fitness, nutrition, relationships, sex, money, career, vocation, work, spirituality, mindfulness, parenting, parent-caring …and so much more.
Our emphasis at each of the Fests is always to focus on inspiring men and women, who may be slightly stuck in some area of their life, to get unstuck. No-one ‘cracks’ life all the time. No-one is perfect or has a perfect life. Even high-performers! No-one avoids getting ‘stuck’ in certain seasons of life. Life is a complex thing. High performers know this and that’s why they never stop learning and never stop seeking outside inspiration, motivation and insight to get unstuck and to keep moving forward on their path through the long and winding road and ups and down of life.
This is a day that will truly catalyse us to think about the way we want to each live-out the second half of our lives, a day that will hopefully provoke, educate, inspire and empower us to continually be open to changing and growing, always seeking to be the best that we can be, so we can continue to live our lives with meaning, joy and abundance.
What we also aim to do with our festivals is to create a transformational experience and atmosphere that delivers all the inspiration, motivation and learning we can in one day – but without all boring that can often seem to go with it!
That means we don’t do them in hotel function rooms, or convention centres but we rather set up tent carnivals and try and lean more towards a Festival feel rather than a Ted talk, ensuring attendees not only learn and grow from the coaches’ half-time talks and interactive workshops but also get ample time to move and dance, participate in immersive mindfulness exercises, feel pampered with massages and to network and exchange ideas with like-minded individuals.
This year we are at ZipZap Dome, next to Artscape on Sat, 28th Oct. Registration starts at 8am, session kicks off at 9am sharp and end around 5pm. Tickets start at R395 and there are only 300 seats available. So be quick. CLICK HERE for ticket options.
